Tamago Kake Gohan (With Everything Kelp Seasoing)

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup short grain rice, cooked and hot

  • 1 large egg (and an additional yolk for serving)

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • ½ tsp mirin

  • a pinch of hondashi

  • a pinch of mirin

  • 1 tbsp Everything Kelp Seasoning (like barnacle foods) plus more to taste

Steps:

  1. Add the hot rice, the whole egg, soy sauce, mirin, hondashi and msg to a bowl. Stir vigorously with chopsticks until thick and  frothy.

  2. To serve, make an indentation in the center and place the reserved yolk in it. Cover with Everything Kelp Seasoning and enjoy!
